We’re embarking on a major restoration project at the Atlas! In 2020, our transportation tunnel was closed to the public due to shifting surrounding geology. We’ve been working with engineers on a multi-year stabilization and restoration plan which will allow the tunnel to reopen to the public and stay open for years to come. We expect total costs for the project to be around $1.5mil and we’ll be embarking on phase 1 in 2024. Our plan is in place, so now it’s time to get to work! Your donations will help with every aspect of the project; from laser surveys, to underground monitoring equipment, and even some of that good old-fashioned soft rock mining construction.
